Family Reunion Pictures: Sioux Falls, SD |
About 50 people attended the 2003 Family Reunion in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Saturday was the 50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration of Bern and Sarah. Many family friends from the Ailts family attended the celebration that day.Attendees suggested that the next Family Reunion be held in the midwest, around the July 4th weekend, 2005. Reserve this date on your family calendars. | |

Bern and Sarah had a family picture taken when many of the children were very small. The family members were placed in exactly the same position as the original photo. However, no one was holding their children in their arms, for obvious reasons.

Most of the attendees arrived on Friday, early evening. Those who were there gathered around an impromptu Pizza Party. Vic and Gret parked their camper in the parking lot of the hotel and were thankful for the beautiful weather surrounding the event. Saturday featured the celebration of the 50th Wedding Anniversary. Bern and Sarah hosted the event at their beautiful home, using the Banquet room in the retirement home as the setting. The children and grandchildren put on a short program and fun was had by all. Many of the Ailts family from the Ailts home in South Dakota attended the event and old acquaintences were renewed. Sunday featured a Church service at Falls Park followed by a formal picture taking event. The service focused on 'Love' (Agapae) and thoughts of heaven. Many family members shared their feelings about what heaven would be like. Prayers centered on Doris and Howard, their family as they face an uncertain future, on Shelley, as she continues her cancer fight, and on our gratitude for the many gifts He has given to us all. The afternoon featured a video review of Al and Judy's wedding celebration years ago. Everyone agreed that we all still look the same. Respectively submitted, Gordon. |
