Preparing for Life's Future
Aging is a fact of life. Sometimes it seems we have no input as to how our life flows. In some cases that is true, but by stopping to ponder how we would like to age, we can make some plans for our futures…where we will live, who will help me make decisions, what happens when my household goes from two of us to just me.
Our discussions will be aided by Dick Edwards' recent book, Mom, Dad…Can We Talk? Dick has served as administrator of Charter House, a nationally recognized model for excellence in retirement living and long-term health care. The program is affiliated with Mayo Clinic.

Advent Festival - Nov. 29th, 10:15-11:15 a.m. in the Social Hall. Come one, Come all! Join in holiday crafts, games, and activities as we start this season of hopeful waiting; waiting in great anticipation for the greatest gift of all - the gift of God's Son.
Thanksgiving Community Dinner - Nov. 26th. Sign-up sheets for volunteers and food donations will be in Memorial Hall starting in November. Watch for more details.
Senior Saints will begin another church year with Thankful Hearts Raised to God on Wed., Nov. 18, 2009. We start at 10:30 a.m. with Songs of Praise, related activities, prayers, and readings. Then, with Thanks to God for all that he provides, and thanks to the November Service Group, we feast on the food that they have prepared for us. If you are 55+, you are always welcome to join the Senior Saints at Broadway Apartments in Wells. We meet the third Wednesday of each month. See you on the eighteenth? Fellowship Ministry Team
