Altar Guild: The Altar Guild is responsible for setting up and taking down Communion, preparing for Baptisms, taking care of the candles, altar cloths, paraments, vestments and flowers. They meet monthly for prayer,fellowship, and discussion. Most meetings are on SaturdayCaring and Sharing: Caring and Sharing meets on Tuesdays at 10:00am. The group coordinates two fund-raisers each year. A yard sale and a craft fair. Most of the proceeds are donated to the church for a designated purpose. The ladies also bring gifts to the shut-ins and sends get well and birthday cards to church members.
Choir: We have two choirs, Sanctuary and Praise. The Sanctuary Choir sings traditional hymns while the Praise Choir sings more contemporary hymns. The choir practices on Tuesday evenings.
Women's Guild: All women in the congregation are automatically members of Women's Guild. The guild meets on the first Thursday of each month, September through May at 12:30pm. Meeting consist of dessert, coffee, a guest speaker or Bible Study and a business meeting. Each December, the Guild holds a cookie sale and they sell pecans for holiday baking. Every other year, the Guild sponsers a card party and inter-faith luncheon. The Guild is the link between the women of LCP and the Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML). They collect mites and participate in LWML retreats, rallies and conventions. The Guild also hosts the District rally every four years.
Daughters of Ruth: This group meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:15pm. This group also sponsers fund raisers each year. One of the most popular is Bunco. Groups gather and have a wonderful time playing this fun game, while raising money for a designated purpose.
Men's Club: The Men's Club has an ongoing fund-raising activity- they collect newspapers and aluminum cans, which are recycled to raise funds for designated purposes. The few meetings of the mens club are for prayer, fellowship and planning.
Prayer Chain: This is a group of individuals who pray for the many needs of the congregation and community.
