Wearing a pot on your head is optional. | There are many opportunities for you to serve in the Bible Camp ministry. During the year, we need committee officers, representatives from churches, meeting attendees, and others to organize camp weeks, provide input, and relay important information back to congregations. If you would like to help in this way, please send an e-mail to NewEnglandLutheranOM@yahoo.com.For the Bible Camp weeks, a variety of staff members are needed: camp chiefs (pastors and DCEs), assistant directors, nurses, cooks, lifeguards, counselors-in-training, and cook’s helpers. This year we have streamlined the application process, so you only need to fill out one application now and a health form that you will receive later. If you would like to be a part of the camp staff, please download the app, fill it out, and send it in ASAP! Don’t procrastinate! We need to have time to process your application, including time for the state to perform the required camp staff background checks, so that we can receive a camp permit in plenty of time before camp starts. Failure to receive applications well in advance may result in us not obtaining a permit to conduct camp. So get them in by March 31st! Serving on the camp staff, as well as behind the scenes to help make camp happen, requires work and dedication, but it is also spiritually uplifting and a lot of fun! |
