Hi! I'm Ted Suttmeier and since 1934 I have had some association with the area which was originally Lutherland. Our family's cottage, acquired by my grandmother in 1936, is located on old 940 opposite just west of the entrance.
I worked at Beaverbrook in 1942, 3, 6 and 7. And in 1948 I was the night auditor at the hotels. During the following years when we were raising a family I usually spent at least one week visiting my parents at the cottage.
In 1978 my wife, the former Jean Kuechle, and I purchased a vacation home in Lake Naomi and since 1992 we moved to a new home in Lake Naomi as full time residents.
Since 1992 I have been recording the history of Lutherland in drafts of the chapters listed below.
If you feel you have been a part of one or more of these chapters, or if you're just interested, I invite you to contact me either at my email address, or my mailing address: PO Box 118, Pocono Pines, Pa 18350, or by phone 570-646-7657. I'll share part or all of that chapter content with you as it might relate to your interest.
Many former Lutherlanders have shared their experiences with me and many have furnished me with photos and old publications relating to Lutherland which I have been safe-keeping.
In June 2007, I finally self-published the history and books are available through me for $15, or if mailed, $18. Responses from folks who have purchased the book have been favorable and felt the book has been a necessary service.
