Parish Education is vital to our Christian life and ministry. It is an important occasion for the “sowing of the seeds of faith”. At LCDR, we strive to develop a sequential knowledge and deeper understanding of faith in each individual. In our Sunday School program, we respond to the good news of God’s love by:

• Learning of God as the Creator and Sustainer of the world; the Redeemer who brings new life; and the Sanctifier who provides the basis for a lifetime of Christian Discipleship.

• Affirming that the Bible accounts are part of God’s continuing activity of calling
people for life and mission in the faith community and the world today.

• Responding in faith to God’s story by making connections between the Bible and our
world so that in following Jesus and serving others, we are a part of the story.

• Experiencing the love of Christian Community by the sharing of God’s love, the celebrating of the variety of God’s gifts, and the recognition of our unity in Jesus Christ.

Members of the Board of Parish Ed serve a three-year term. Each year, in December, new member's names are recommended by the Parish Board and submitted to the church council for review. The Parish Board Chairman will contact the recommended individuals and inform the board of their decision.

The Board of Parish Ed's meeting time is generally on the third Wednesday of each month at 6:00pm.
