GIFTS OF THE HEART
NEW YORK (September 12, 2001) —
"What can I do?" That's the question countless Americans are still asking in the wake of last week's horrific terrorist attacks.

An Option for Congregational Groups
As our nation continues to respond to the tragedies of 9-11-01, the only options for the average congregation to help is to pray and to send cash donations to church-related or creditable nonprofit organizations. There are however, many other ongoing disaster recoveries across the USA and many will be forthcoming, both natural and man-made. One of the means for offering "tangible assistance" to these others in need is offered by the Brethren Service Center and is called "Gifts of the Heart." Below is the complete list of what congregational groups can assemble as various recovery kits and where to ship them prepaid. (Apologies for "fuzzy" text.)
