It was my intention to organize a gathering that would serve two purposes. First, to draw the congregation into a mutual effort. Second, to reach out to the local community as a church body.
The Lord responded in abundance as He often does. Our most accurate count, was 173 people in attendance. The congregation of St. Pauls, without one single exception stood up with one another and organized everything from a cookout, a bake sale, a pie auction, activities, entertainment and fine food.
During the festivities I was told on three separate occasions how pleased some of our guests were that they had an opportunity to sit down, relax, and talk with old friends they had not seen for a long time.
God has richly blessed our congregation, our community, and His kingdom here on earth.
Because each of you made yourselves available for His service, he did so through this gathering.
What a glorious blessing it is to have been of service to our Lord in such a meaningful way.
Let us give thanks and glory to God above, as we anticipate what has now become an annual event dedicated to His service.
And most especially…
Thank you,.. One and all.
