Rau-Wood Retreat and Conference Center, Nashville, TN

The directions might depend on which way you come.
The retreat is in the extreme southwest corner of Nashville/Davidson county.
Some people still remember it as Clearwater Beach of the 1920’s.
There is a small triangle between TN 96, TN 100 and the short retreat road.
The triangle is in the southeast corner of the intersection of TN 96 and TN 100.
It is a block away from a Church of Christ, which sign you might see.
There is a small sign for the retreat on TN 100, but many people miss it.
We are wondering what sort of sign would be best.

If you are coming some distance the route might be:
I 40 to McCrory lane exit # 192.
This is also the Natchez Trace exit.
Turn South toward the Natchez Trace.
It is a good country winding road.
You come to a T at TN 100.
You will see the large Natchez Trace termination and entrance to the right.
Turn right and pass the trace.
I haven’t measured the distance, it might be three or four miles:
You will pass over a green steel girder bridge.
The road to the retreat is the first on the left after the bridge.
Over a small bridge, look to the left for the arch and gravel road.
The sign overhead reads "The Nashville Lutherans", and the gate has "Rau-Wood Retreat".

If you come from Franklin or Murfreesboro on TN 96:
You come to an offset - T at TN 100.
Turn right at TN 100.
The road to the retreat is the first on the right.
Over a small bridge, look to the left for the arch and gravel road.
There is a full time live in caretaker.
