Being a teenager is challenging and at times perplexing. For some, these are some of the greatest years. For others, they can be quite painful. Most struggle with a constant dilemma of choices. "who can I trust, what do I believe and where do I fit". We believe it is necessary to have a well balanced ministry that will address the needs of youth of all ages.

This class is for 5th and 6th grade students who do not attend the parochial school. It meets immediately after school on Wednesday afternoons and begins the process of growth in Christian education that prepares students for Junior Confirmation Class.

Junior Confirmation class meets on Wednesday evenings at 5:45 for all 7th and 8th grade students of the congregation and their friends. Pastor leads the class and has help from adult mentors who each guide 3-4 youth through the two years of study.

The class focuses on the Bible and Luther's Small Catechism, using lecture, skits, videos, discussion as well as servant events to help develop young disciples of Jesus Christ. Upon completion of the second year of study a student is confirmed into communicant membership of the congregation on the first Sunday of May.

Students in the 7th & 8th grades also are invited to participate in Junior Lutheran Youth Fellowship where various activities and servant projects occur.

LYF is the group that ministers to the high school age youth. Meeting monthly and for special activities, the group seeks to minister to one another and to the congregation. Bible studies are held semi-weekly and LYF seeks to participate in District and Synodical Youth Gatherings. They also try to include a major trip into their program each year. Parents and single adults help to sponsor the LYF. The youth of this age also lead the Thanksgiving Worship of the congregation each year.
