Our Children's Ministry |
|
|
Children are important people at St. Paul's. We are dedicated to working with you and your child in the cultivation of spiritual growth. Our objective is to provide a caring, nurturing, and loving environment where children can learn about Jesus, His love, and His forgiveness.
At the beginning of the 5th grade year, the congregation presents to each student a Self-Study New International Version Bible that they can use throughout their preparation for Confirmation. At the time, the Children's Concern Committee seeks an adult mentor for the child who is to encourage the child through their High School years. This adult mentor is called the child's "Connecting Link" and serves to help parents with care and encouragement. Some special ministries for children are:

Junior Confirmation |

Junior Confirmation class meets on Wednesday evenings at 5:45 p.m. for 7th and 8th grade students of the congregation and their friends. Pastor leads the class and has help from adult mentors who each guide 3-4 youth through the two years of study. The class focuses on the Bible and Luther's Small Catechism, using lecture, skits, videos, discussion as well as servant events to help develop young disciples of Jesus Christ. Upon completion of the second year of study, a student is confirmed into communicant membership of the congregation on the first Sunday of May.
