From 1901 to 1986, Lutheran Social Services of Indiana primarily provided adoption, foster care, counseling and emergency assistance. In 1986, the Agency expanded into elderly home care, services to the mentally disabled and a child care center. Today the Agency serves Northern Indiana with fourteen outstanding programs that promote empowermant through healing of attitudes which are impediments to relationships with God, self and others. Resprctful relationships with self and others, along with personal responsibility, are encouraged as aspects of spiritual growth. The services that we provide are intended to embody the love and grace filled forgiveness that Jesus Christ provides. The wisdom and empowerment of His life saving works are the foundation upon which we serve. |
