We invite you to worship the Lord with us! All are welcome. We are a traditional Lutheran church, preaching the message of salvation through our crucified Lord, Jesus the Christ. We worship at 11 AM each Sunday, from Labor Day until June 1. During the summer months we worship at 9:30 AM.
Worship at Good Shepherd is:
ACTIVE: We come here not as an audience, but to worship through song, praise, and prayer. Many of our members serve as readers, choir members, ushers, communion assistants and acolytes, but the liturgy is the work of all the people of God.
SACRAMENTAL: We celebrate Holy Communion every Sunday and on the festivals of the church. Any baptized Christian who believes that, in this sacrament, the Lord Jesus gives his body and blood, in the bread and wine, for the forgiveness of sin is welcome to partake wih us.
LITURGICAL: We follow a basic form of worship that has been used since the ancient church, moving from confession of our sinsthrough the reading and proclamation of Gods' Word to our response in the declaration of our faith and the offering of what God has entrusted to our care. Within this basic form, we use several arrangements of the liturgy to reflect the varying moods of the seasons of the church year.
HOSPITABLE: In our fellowship, we are called to reflect the welcoming love of God. If you are looking for a church community to call "home", we invite you to consider becoming a member of our congregation.
