Rev. Andreas M. Thode began his ministry among us in October 2007. We celebrated his Installation on January 26, 2008, with visitors from local churches and even some from New York and the Bahamas!Rev. Thode, or Pastor Andreas, as we call him, came to us after already being in the Miami-Dade area for several years. He most recently served as the Chaplain for Immigration Detention (Dept of Homeland Security) at the Krome Service Processing Center. During the last year, he also served as Supply Pastor for Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Freeport, Grand Bahama Island. Prior to that, he was Pastor to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Cambria Heights (Queens), NY for eight years, where he was ordained in 1996. He has a passion for Urban Ministry, community organizing, young people, and Spirit-led worship. |
