It is our Mission to use the Venturing Program of the BSA as the vehicle to provide the opportunity to gather those interested in Model Railroading. The 'Specialty' of Model Railroading comes under the 'Hobby" area of interest in the Venturing program. The framework of the Venturing program provides for development of Citizenship, Personal Development and an exploration of the Hobby.Our Venturer Crew gives both, the community member, and those in other Scouting programs, the chance to become a part of a group interested in Model Railroading. |

Our membership is small and ever changing. Currently the Adult Leadership is made up of Model Railroaders who have experience that ranges from very skilled to some experience in Art, Carpentry & Woodworking, Electricity, Electronics, Model Design & Building and other related skills. Our youth membership is inexperienced, but willing to learn (and sometimes just have fun instead) Venturer Crew 350 is successor to Explorer Post 350 formed in 1991. Our youth members are 14 to 20 years old. The Crew is assisted by a Committee of Adults interested in the hobby. We are always looking for new members and welcome any level of interest and experience. |

Through the meetings of the Crew the Venturers will learn by doing. We have an 'HO' Scale layout under construction. By working on the projects to build the Layout the members learn new skills and practice those already known.We also provide an organization that can sponsor trips and outings to see the 'real thing', railroading in the metropolitan area. |
