Health Kits or Health Kit items are emphasized this year, but any items are welcomed and appreciated.

Health Kits

1 hand towel,

1 washcloth,

1 bath-sized bar of soap,

1 toothbrush,

1 5-7 ounce tube of toothpaste,

1 comb,

1 metal nail file or nail clippers with file attached,

6 1/2 to 3/4 inch wide band aids
Wrap all of the smaller items in the towel or pack in a ziplock bag. Tie securely with ribbons or yarn

Layettes

2 shirts

2 gowns or footed sleepers

2 receiveing blankets

4 cloth diapers

1 sweater

2 washcloths

1 bath size bar of baby soap

two safety pins
Wrap the first 6 items in one of the receiving blankets and secure with the safety pins

School Kits

81/2 by 11 inch Pads or notebooks of 150 sheets of paper

1 pair of blunt scissors

1 metric ruler, 12 inches long

1 pencil sharpener

6 new pencils with erasers

1 eraser, 2 1/2 inches long

12 sheets of construction paper, assorted colors

1 box of 8, 16 or 24 crayons
Pack all the items in a cloth bag 12 X 14 inches with handles

Fabric
3 yard pieces of cotton or cotton blend. No 100 % polyester.

Soap
There is a great demand for soap. Homemade soap is acceptable as well as purchased soap.

Single items for any of the above. There will be willing hands available to put kits together using your donated items.

Or Contribute
To the boxcar(shipping) fund. All quilts, kits and bags are taken to Spokane where they will be sent by railroad to Chicago for overseas shipment.
