Our Mission |
"They chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit" (Acts 6:5 NIV).St. Stephen's Lutheran Church is a people of faith and of the Holy Spirit... SERVING THE SAVIOR with the gifts and abilities God has given, SEEKING THE SINNER by sharing the story of Jesus and his love, SCHOOLING THE SAVED through educational ministries, and SUPPORTING THE SAINTS as they serve God where they are. "And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and signs among the people" (Acts 6:8 NIV). | |
|
We Believe |
We believe and teach that we are saved by grace (God's undeserved love) through faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus. This faith is a gift from the Holy Spirit. Our teachings are taken from the Bible, which is the true, revealed Word of God.We celebrate two sacraments, Baptism and the Lord's Supper. Through Baptism God gives us faith and salvation in Jesus, making us his own children, called to witness and serve in love. In the Lord's Supper we receive the very body and blood of Jesus for the forgiveness of sins, life and salvation. So that we can work together with other congregations to share the good news of Jesus more effectively, we are affiliated with The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. |

Worship |
Our Sunday morning worship is at 9:00 a.m. with Discipleship Training (Sunday School) at 10:15. A fellowship time follows the morning service. The more traditional Sunday morning service flows from the rich heritage of Lutheran liturgy and hymns. Our Wednesday Evening Praise Service is at 7:30 p.m. from Easter until Advent. The praise service is a more casual service utilizing contemporary praise music. Come as you are. During Advent and Lent we offer a more traditional Wednesday Eveing Service.
