Our Staff
Our dedicated staff helps keep things going here at St. Paul's. Lynette Yaklin has been our organist for over 20 years. Pastor Allan Eckert has served our church for 10 years. Last but definately NOT least is Harriet Kirch, our secretary for the last 13 years. If anyone has a question about what is happening at church, she's the one to ask!
Farewell Reception

A reception was held Saturday, May 31, 2008 to honor and say good-bye to three long-time members of St. Paul. Dolores, Charles and Ruthie, we'll miss you!

Harvest Home Celebration 2007

The Harvest Home Celebration is a tradition that goes back many years. Years ago, our congregation was made up mostly of farmers.
They liked to gather in the fall for a big celebration to give thanks for their harvests. Today, we don't have as many farmers,
but still like to gather to give thanks for the harvest, family, friends, and for God's many blessings.
Design For A Cure

St. Paul participated in the A.W.A.R.E Department of the Kingsville
Women's Club's "Design for a Cure" fundraiser. Various groups
designed a table to seat 8. There was a silent and live auction.
Funds raised were sent to M.D. Anderson for breast cancer research.
Early reports show that the event raised over $20,000. Our table
was named Flame of Faith. It was designed by ladies of the
congregation, and featured the brass cross from our original church
dating 1912.
Our 2007 Graduates

We had two high school graduates this year. Mandy Moore from Riviera High School, and Kaelyn Hewett from Bishop High School. They are shown with Pastor before their honorary brunch on June 3, 2007.
Dedication of Lutheran Service Book

St. Paul dedicated the new Lutheran Service Books and new English Standard Version Bibles on January 28, 2007. The members of our church purchased 190 hymnals, organist and alter books, and 76 Bibles. Many thanks to God for the generosity of our congregation!
Our 2006 Graduates
St. Paul had four 2006 graduates. Two college graduates
(Texas A & M University - Kingsville) are Clay Hewett and Leslie Kuhn.
Two high school graduates are Katie Lisardo and Ryan Harlan.
We had a special brunch on May 21 to honor them.
Congratulations to you all.

100th Anniversary of the Texas District - LCMS

It's here! The Centennial Year has finally arrived! It only took us 100 years to get here -- a mere blink of an eye in God's perfect timing.

The history of this Texas District of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod is filled with stories of people of courage, people of faith, and people of God. Ultimately were it not for the saving grace of Jesus Christ's death and resurrection, none of these stories would have any meaning or purpose, and our entire history would truly be meaningless. St. Paul celebrated the anniversary on February 19, 2006. We were treated to a special service, followed by a celebratory brunch complete with an anniversary cake.

The members of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Kingsville gathered together the afternoon of May 15, 2005, to dedicate the Official Texas Historical Marker to the glory of Almighty God in thanksgiving for the spiritual and material blessings He has lavished upon this congregation for over 93 years. We pray that this congregation continue to be a place for the gathering of the people of God, a place for proclaiming the Gospel through Word and Sacrament, a place for bringing life, comfort, and hope to us and our community.

Rosalie was recently surprised by the ladies of St. Paul with a celebration honoring her 87th birthday. She is St. Paul's oldest member. Happy Birthday, Rosalie!

Brave souls of St. Paul out for Christmas Day service, 2004. This is the first snow Kingsville has seen in 100 years.
