THE PRAYER CORNER

FROM THE PRAYER CORNER;

We are truly Blessed from the Lord today, as we celebrate Pentecost Sunday,
together, in His Spirit with the songs of Music Sunday. For, when we sing,
our souls are lifted up, and God's Spirit is poured into our hearts.
"God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit,
whom He has given us" Romans 5:5b

The Scriptures become "alive" when we sing them in our "hearts", with all our
"soul", with all our "strength" and with all our "minds".

Praise: "Great is the Lord and most worthy of Praise" Psalm 48:1

"I will sing of the Lord's great love forever,
with my mouth I will make known your
faithfulness to all generations" Psalm 89:1

"Sing to the Lord a new song
. His praise in the assembly of the saints" Psalm 149:1

Repent: "Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits,
who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases"
Psalm 103:2-3

"Where can I go from your spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?" Psalm 139:7

"Create in me a pure heart, O God, and
a right spirit within me" Psalm 51:10

Asking: "Surely it is God who saves me. I will trust in Him
and not be afraid.
For the Lord is my stronghold and my sure defense,
and He will be my Savior" Isaiah 12:2

"It is God, my maker, who gives songs in the night" Job 35:10

"Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet
and a light unto my path." Psalm 119:105

Yield: "The Lord is my strength and my song
and He has become my salvation." Exodus 15:2

"Let everything that has breath, praise the Lord
Praise the Lord" Psalm 150:6

Thank you, Father, for your gifts of music. May we go out with
Your Spirit in our hearts to sing praises forever to you . Amen

Peace, I leave with you,
My peace I give to you,
Not as the world gives peace,
Do I give my peace to you,
Peace, I leave with you

FROM THE PRAYER GROUP

FROM THE PRAYER CORNER

The "Spirit" given to us on Pentecost and enlightened through music, prepares
our hearts to take a new look at the "Trinity". When reflecting on the complicated
"Three in One", we are still mystified by it all. Oh, the "apple" explanation seems
simple enough, but that, after all. is an inanimate object. But God, in His Great Mercy,
gave us the "Trinity" including the Spirit, in the beginning words of Genesis.
The "Trinity" has always been with us. Thanks be to God.

Praise: "In the beginning, "God the Father", created the heavens and the earth.
Now, the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the
surface of the deep, and the "Spirit of God" was hovering over the
waters. And, "God Said", Let there be Light." Genesis 1:1-3

"In the beginning, was the Word, and the Word was with God and the
Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.
Through Him, all things were made: without Him nothing was
made that has been made. In Him was life and that life was
the Light of men. The light shines in the darkness and the
darkness has not understood it. John 1:1-5
"The Word became flesh and dwelt among us We have seen his
glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father,
full of grace and truth". John 1:14

Repentence: Forgive us Father, for being lukewarm., neither hot nor cold,
for losing sight of our first love in you, O Lord, and, for being
forgetful to be alive in your Light. Your Word in Revelation
to the churches reminds us of our need to "He who has an ear,
let him hear what the Spirit says to them". "To those who
overcome, will do so, by "the blood of the Lamb and by the
Word of their testimony. They did not love their lives so much
as to shrink from death" Revelation 2:7, 2:11, 3:22 &.12: 11

Asking: "Build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the
Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in God's Love. Jude 20

"Guard the good deposit that was entrusted to you---------
guard it with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in us"
2 Timothy 1:14
"The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself
through God's love." Galatians 5:6

Yielding: "For God did not give us spirit of timidity, but a Spirit of
power, of love, and of self-discipline. So, do not be ashamed
to testify about our Lord , or ashamed of me, his prisoner.
But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power
of God, who has saved us and called us to a holy Life--------
not because of anything we have done, but because of His
own purpose and grace. This grace was given to us in
Christ Jesus before the beginning of time."
2 Timothy 1:7-9
