God is the source of all wealth and talents. Those who love him, glorify him with their gifts and their service. It is a very human thing to ask, "Why am I here?" The Bible gives us information about why we are here. Lord, give us insight into the calling we have received from you, Amen | |
Hi Jolynn, I love you web site! I've added it to my list of favorites. Thanks for sharing! I didn't have too much trouble this year getting names on the ballot, but I called in a bunch of personal favors. We have in the past had a lot of trouble. Busy women, busy lives. God's blessings to you and your circuit. Karyl Diersen, President - Winona Circuit |

Hi Jolynn, This is a very impressive endeavor. I am sure we will discuss it at the National Convention in June. I assume it is your baby, it is awesome! I am working on the ballot for our circuit for the spring rally. There are a few, very few, ones who have served in the past and know the need as well as the sense of "doing" for the Lord. Our Circuit Rally is on March 25th in Weyauwega, Wi..St. Peter. Pastor Mark Zarling, Professor is going to tell us about his time teaching in the seminary in India and how it compares to his teaching in Mequon. We are focusing on the need for worker training."God's Word is Not Chained" is our theme. We have no tent pastors in our circuit, so have no concept of it. Most recently the prayers for Pastor Lor and family have brought this tent ministry role to my attention. God works in all ways, doesn't he. Thanks for sharing this with me. Jolynn,Thank you for your e-mail and your beautiful website. Who put that together? I notice you are from Hiles. I think that is where our friends Ed and Jean Starrett are members. Do you know them? A former pastor of yours, Oscar Stellick, vicared at our church, Trinity Lutheran in Caledonia, Wi. We live in Oak Creek but Trinity is only 4 miles away. Getting officers is always a problem as well as getting more to attend the rallies. Are you going to the National Convention? My husband Dave and I are going. Perhaps we will meet at the Presidents meeting. Keep in touch. Jacky Kopplin, Pres. Lake Shore Circuit |

Jolynn, I have been informed that you would like our input in regard to the reasons why more women do not participate in offices of the LWMS. My reason is we have become a organization that has become too big for the average woman. Few women are capable of holding the offices of such a big organization. My suggestion is that the organization be broken up into smaller areas and that not so much is required from the leaders, local or national. Spirtual Growth Laywoman of Beaver Dam Circuit, Donna Wenzel |
