A look at our beautiful sanctuary from the rear.

Since the first log cabin meeting in 1848, St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran church has been bringing the lost to Jesus Christ through both Word and Sacrament. We believe that the congregation is the right form of the Kingdom of God on the earth; and that the earliest Christians were extremely simple in their order of service. Whatever is added to the service carries the danger of only becoming form. We also believe that the preaching of the Word of God must be the central part of the service. We accept the ancient ecumenical symbols, namely: the Apostle’s, the Nicene, and the Athanasian Creeds; Luther’s Small Catechism and the Unaltered Augsburg Confession as the true expressions of the Christian faith and life.

St. Mark’s Mission Statement “With a desire to serve the Lord and the community,” is the mission of the people of St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. We will strive to help those in need whether physically or spiritually, volunteering our time, talents and gifts when assisting; we will make donations to worthy causes as the Lord has blessed our congregation, we feel the calling to respond in kind; may God bless our endeavors.
