Knife River Lutheran Church - Gifts and Giving |
|
| | | An Award-winning Congregation! |
Quilt Auction
The Knife River Lutheran Ladies Quilting group made $149 at their Christmas Quilt Raffle held at the Fish Cake Dinner. The winning name drawn was Lenore Johnson, who picked up her quilt that night! Congratulations, Lenore and thank you to everyone who purchased a ticket to support this very worthy cause. Funds will be used to purchase additional supplies to make quilts to be sent overseas to those MUCH less fortunate!

From The Organists Bench
To: Knife River Lutheran Church
To Knife River Church Council and Congregation: Again, a simple thank you doesn’t seem adequate for your generous gift of money at Christmas! I think of the words to a song we sing---“We are many parts, we are all one body and the gifts we have we are given to share.” All of us share so much---our small congregation is becoming well known for our music. The bell choir is outstanding and our Celebration of Music continues to grow in excellence, attracting people from surrounding communities. 2007 will be a challenging but enjoyable time with the congregation as we explore new liturgy settings in the ELW. What musician wouldn’t want to be part of that, when our organ and piano are such magnificent instruments? Thank you all for your kind words and support this past year—It has been a difficult year, but music and friends are key in healing---love, Carol Carlson
