St. John's Lutheran Church is located just 20 minutes north of Columbus on 48th Avenue. Our address is 39452 - 205th Avenue. We celebrated our 125th anniversary in 2004, and continue to preach and teach the Word of God. Pastor Brad Birtell was called by God to lead the members of St. John's in February 1996, and recently celebrated his 10th anniversary here. Weekly worship attendance for 2006 was just under 200 members per Sunday. We are a small country church who continue to stretch and reach out to share the love of Jesus with those around us. We are also proud of our Lutheran School, which currently has an enrollment of 31 students in grades Kindergarten through 8th. We have 3 full-time teachers. Our school recently celebrated its 120th anniversary. We are also thankful that our new preschool opened this September. Our youth ministry includes a summer trip to the Indian Reservations in Minnesota to provide Vacation Bible School to children on the reservation, as well as a winter trip, where we deliver coats, hats, mittens, etc. to those same children, to share with them the love of Jesus. We also have our own Vacation Bible School which is usually held the last week of May. We also have a Women's Mission Aid group which meets monthly, and a Lutheran Laymen's League group which also meets monthly. Our choir is growing, and we have recently started an exercise group that meets weekly, as members' schedules permit. Come join us this Sunday for worship!
