Thrivent & Habitat
Our DEDICATION DAY was JUNE 23rd at 10:30. The "Thank-you lunch" was provided by Southern Clay County Thrivent Chapter and Gwen Madden and her family at 11:30. About 100 of the many volunteers and contributors attended! Musical entertainment was provided by The St. James Lutheran Praise Band.
The house will become a home on June 30, 2007, when The Madden family moves into the newly completed home. Thanks to the many volunteers and contributors to this project! Our best wishes and the blessings of God to Gwen & her family!
Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity may be the most recent chapter in the ongoing relationship between the two organizations, but both have been working side-by-side with volunteers and homeowners for more than a decade, creating decent, affordable housing for those hoping to enter the economic mainstream.
Since 1991, Thrivent Financial and Habitat together built 500 homes. And with Thrivent Builds, the goal is to build up to 500 homes per year in the near future with Thrivent Financial members, Lutheran congregations and other volunteers around the United States and around the world.
