Prayer Request for Ellie Meyer (submitted by Elfrieda S.)

"Last evening I brought some "stamps for missions" to Elly Meyer the LWML stamp trimmer and sorter. She was very glad to receive them because, in her words, "I need something to occupy my mind." A growth in her breast is malignant and she is scheduled for surgery August 25th at the Henry County Hospital in Napoleon. Chemotherapy will follow the surgery.

Please pray for emotional and spiritual strength for her and also pray for wisdom and skillful hands for the surgeon. It will be helpful for her to know others are praying for her now.

Prayer Request for Laurie Grube

Please pray for our youngest daughter, Laurie Grube. She has stage 2 breast cancer. She had a mammogram in October and it was clean. She is diligent in self examination and found this lump around a month ago. They removed it and removed 19 lymph nodes. Only 4 of them were cancerous, but still has to go through chemo and radiation. She has 3 children ages 13, 9, and 5. We appreciate any prayers that can be lifted up for her.
