Sharon's shawl | Care and the love of knitting and crocheting have been combined into a prayerful ministry that reaches out to those in need of comfort and solace. Many blessings are knitted into every shawl. The knitter begins each shawl with prayers for the recipient. Intentions are continued throughout the creation of the shawl. When the shawl is completed it is offered a final ritual before being sent along its way."Shawls...made for centuries universal and embracing, symbolic of an inclusive, unconditionally loving, God.
They wrap, enfold, comfort, cover, give solace, mother, hug, shelter and beautify.
Those who have received these shawls have been uplifted and affirmed, as if given wings to fly above their troubles..." |

Knitter, crocheters, or wanting to learn?
Also sewers & quilters. Are you interested
in creating prayer shawls for people needing
the warm arms of concern wrapped around them?
Join us for an organizational meeting. Come,
bring your ideas, share your thoughts and
insights, and we will see what direction it
will go and grow. We are modeling our group
after a shawl ministry begun by Janet Bristow
and Victoria A. Cole-Galo. Their website

Our group has decided to meet on
the third Monday of each month.

Anyone wishing to knit or crochet
a prayer shawl is welcome to come. You
may also get the pattern and some yarn
and work at home if you do not have time
to attend our get-togethers.We will be putting out more information
