Choir
The Sanctuary choir at Lord of Life assists in leading worship at the 10:45 a.m. service from September through Pentecost Sunday. Anyone interested in becoming a member of the choir should talk to Director of Music Tim Elder. Prior musical knowledge is not a requirement, just a desire to sing your praises to God the Almighty through song!
Director of Music Ministry
Tim L. Elder serves as Director of Music Ministry/Organist. He holds Bachelor and Master of Music Education degrees from Youngstown State University’s Dana School of Music. He has served on the North East Ohio Synod’s subcommittee of worship and has played synod assembly and ordination services. He also is a member of the Cathedral choir of St. Columba of the Diocese of Youngstown. He is a member of the American Guild of Organists (AGO) and Association of Lutheran Church Musicians (ALCM). Tim’s full time job is as a general music specialist for the Howland Local school system teaching music grades 3 through 5. He is a Colleague (CAGO) of the American Guild of Organists. Tim resides in Austintown with his wife Laura and daughter Elizabeth. He enjoys reading, listening to music, doing the daily crossword on line, as well as traveling and spending time with his family.
