In September, we had a defibrillator on site with a training class in which it was used. The defibrillator was a gift in memory of Brantley Whittaker by the Smith and Whittaker family and Friends. It was much needed and is a valuable life saving gift and we thank them for it, even as we give continued Thanks to God for Brantley.

Touch of home 2007 report

Touch of Home is an outreach ministry started over 20 years ago by the Welca ladies. I was asked to take care of the Touch of Home Packages. Correct mailing addresses are collected and given to the church secretary to type and make labels for packages to be mailed to students and military away from home, but connected to our church. Donations of candy, cookies, gum, snacks, dried soups, hot cereals, and anything else we can get together are used to fill these packages. Twice during 2007, volunteers packed between 15 to 25 boxes and assisted me in mailing the packages. "Thank You" notes from the recipients are posted on the bulletin board.
