TOUCH OF HOME |
Touch of Home is an outreach ministry started over 20 years ago by the Welca ladies. Currently the packages are prepared by the Sunday Church School Children and other volunteers. Correct mailing addresses are collected and given to the church secretary to type and make labels for packages to be mailed to students and military away from home, but connected to our church. Donations of candy, cookies, gum, snacks, dried soups, hot cereals, and anything else we can get together are used to fill these packages.***PACKAGES WILL BE PACKED ON NOVEMBER 13TH 2011!!***

FOOD PANTRY |
The food pantry at St. Paul's serves our congregation as well as our local community. Families are provided with groceries on a bi-weekly basis or as needed. Families are also given special groceries to prepare holiday dinners for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. Each year we distribute groceries an average of 100 times per year. St. Paul's food pantry is sustained by the generous donations of our congregation members as well as by our annual donation from the "Stamp Out Hunger" food drive done by the East Stroudsburg Post Office each May. Donations of nonperishable food and Weis Market gift cards are always appreciated. Thank You!SUPPORT FOR SOUPER BOWL OF CARING The local Thrivent Chapter would like to encourage your participation in the Souper Bowl of Caring on February 5, 2012. As the food pantries are in desperate need of food supplies, collect food items as well as cash donations. Please bring nonperishable food items, and cash donations to church on February 5th. We will allocate and send $1 per food item collected, up to $150 per church, to the food pantries at PVEN, Pocono Ecumenical Network, Top of the Mountain (Blakeslee), St Paul’s Craig’s Meadow, and St John’s Stroudsburg Monroe County Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans

Donations of food and nonfood (detergent, diapers, shampoo, etc.) are always needed in the food pantry. Monetary donations are collected on the first Sunday of each month along with our usual collection. Our food pantry has distributed food over 50 times since Christmas and our resources constantly need to be replenished. If you would like to volunteer to pack food or go shopping for the food pantry please see Laura in the office. Thank you!
