Barbara Jo's Lincoln Music CD |
"We'll Sing to Abe Our Song!" |
We finally got our CD produced! It's not the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, but maybe it's a good representation of what you might have sung in your front parlor if you were alive in 1865. "Family Folk" (Gary and Barbara Jo's family) sing 13 Civil War songs, from campaign and recruitment songs to Lincoln's funeral hymn, about 59 minutes, plus a booklet of notes, and selected texts. Cost is $15, plus $2.00 shipping. You can contact me by email, at this site, or at 409 7th Ave NW, Mandan, ND 58554-2522.

Lincoln CD titles |

|
The CD includes a medley played by Suzannah on Grandma Johannah Niermeier's accordian. The picture was taken at a Chautauqua held in July. The state college had just completed a new building; we were the first performers in it. In the background you see a historic landsite, the triple-arched bridge, which is no more. It was demolished about 10 days ago, and has been replaced by a modern 4-lane cement structure.
