This year (2008) has been an active one for our Church. Dedication Sunday on June 29th. Our Bishop, the Rev. Allan Bjornberg, Rocky Mountain Synod, ELCA, lead us in our Service of Dedication.We were also honored to be joined by Lutheran Pastors attending the Luther Academy of the Rockies! |

We're very fortunate to have within our midst many persons of exceptional skills. One such person is Stan Johnson, who constructed and installed the Cross, Altar, Pulpit, and Batismal Font; as well as our kitchen cabinetry, coffee stations, and coat closets. |

Phyllis Eggers and her husband Gene have donated the use of their Allen Quantum Organ at SMLC. The organ has 58 stops, 3 Manuals, and 4 countries! Phyllis is our organist, and Gene is the master engineer who designed our sound system, including the ability to record our services. |

Charlotte Lloyd, renowned local artist, designed and commissioned the stained glass window gracing the entry way of the church, in honor of her Mother, Mildred Hutcherson. |

It is not often one finds a Master Gardner who is also a retired Lutheran Minister - but we did, or should we say he found us! Don Groskreutz has been raising trees on his home property in Pinewood Springs for years, in anticipation of planting the grounds at SMLC. To-date Don and his volunteers have planted close to 200 trees! |
