Church Committees
Future Development Committee

Roger
The function of the Future Development Committee is to give leadership to the long-range planning process and especially to planning and capital fund-raising relative to site acquisition and design and construction of facilities to support the mission of the congregation.

Building Committee

Allen
The Building Committee has been involved literally from the "ground up." Outside of financial matters, they have been involved in every aspect of the consturction ofour church.

Soon, they hope, they will be succeeded by the Property Committee.

Property Committee

Stan
The Property Committee is assuming responsibilty for all building facets, as the contractor(s) sign off on their work. Once an Occupancy Permit is received, the Property Committee will assume all matters pertaining to our property.
Learning Committee

The learning Committee is the congregational resource which provides support, encouragement, programs, and opportunities in all area of education, learning, and personal growth in both faith and life.
Witness Committee

Mardy
The Witness Committee, working in concert with the Pastor, will lead the congregation by reaching out to the unchurched and new residents in the community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, inviting them to become part of our faith community. Special attention will be given to persons who show an interest in the congregation ... Lutherans, Christians, and the unchurched. we will not solicit new members from exisiting Estes Park churches.
Natural Church Development

To identify our spiritual gifts; to learn to meet the needs of others; to develop an internal ministry focus; and to develop an external ministry focus.
Resource Committee

The function of the resource Committee is to provide the financial, personal, and physical resources that enable the congregation to carry out its ministry. Three task forces will work under the umbrella of this committee: Stewardship, Finance, and Building.
Worship Committee

Lynette
The Worship Committee is the place where the pastor and representatives of the congregation share the responsibility for the enhancemnt of our worship life, which includes the planning, staffing, and coordination of duties. The committee will coordinate the work of ushers, greeters, lectors, communion assistants, cantors, musicinas, and other participants in worship.
Service Committee

The purpose of the Service Committee is to facilitate members of the congreagtion, in gratitude for God's love, in participating responsibily in meeting people's needs in our congregation, in our community, in sciety, and in carrying out Go's mission of compassion throughout the world. The committee will make available for distribution and discussion the social statements of the ELCA and resolutions adopted by the ELCA and Rocky Mountain Synod.
Volunteer Coordinator

The Volunteer Coordinator solicits participation for weekly volunteer positions: Lector, Greeters, Communion Assistants, Coffee Hosts and Treats, Altar Care, Flower Arranger, and Tellers.
Usher Coordinator

Don
Usher responsibilities include arrival at the church 30 to 45 minutes before the service is to begin. Ushers prepare the building for worship, are active during the service, take the offering, assist communion coordination, and essentially close down the church after services.
Altar Committee

Betty & Marion
The Altar Committee prepares for church services by setting for Communion; ensuring appropriate Communion supplies are readily available; and as other functions may be held preparing appropriate materials.
Flower Coordinator

Linda
The Flower Coordinator ensures flowers are available in the Sanctuary for services; and distribution of flower arrangements after services.
Kitchen Coordinator

Nancy leads a dedicated committee who each take a month to "run" our kitchen. These folks are Jill, Margaret, Shirley, Kelly and Marion.
