During the early days of our church, the Quilters Corp of Estes Park was formed by Betty Becker, wife of the founding minister Rev. Art Becker. Today we're known simply as The Quilters. Dorothy is the coordinator.

Women of the ELCA
Women of the ELCA at Shepherd of the Mountains Lutheran church are certainly an active group!
They were responsibile for funding the new kitchen in our new building; they support many service projects; and in general are always available to meet a need either within the congregation or the community.
Women of the ELCA in Estes Park also support the national and regional prgorams of the ELCA.

Many women from our congregation lead the worship service on Sunday, November 23rd. Kelly Brown offered a "sermon talk" and the "youth talk." Click on the link above to see and hear Kelly!
Men's Breakfast Club
The men at SMLC alternate monthly between churches with the men from the United Methodist church for a hearty home-style cooked breakfast. A program presented by a guest lecturer usually is included.
The men at SMLC donate $5 each month, which is "banked" until such time as a need arises, either within the church, or the community.
Each year in December the wives or lady guests of men are invited for a holiday breakfast buffet.

Our youth at SMLC may be small in numbers, but they are large with energy and ideas!
Engaging with other Lutheran groups in the Valley communities; and active with projects in Estes Park, the Youth are representing thenselves very, very well.
