Raising Kids in today's world! |

|
G.P.S. for parents – navigational and directional system for today’s parents, concerned friends and relatives. January 8, 2012 A new opportunity will be available to all of us at 9:15 on Sunday mornings at St. John Lutheran Church. We will be gathering to find direction for raising kids in a confused and chaotic culture. Using a biblical template for parenting, we will address issues like discipline, family time, cultural influences, courtesy and respectfulness, imparting Love, spirituality, as well as other issues. Starting with the youngest members of our society all the way to parenting our adult children. Wow! Can it be done? Many experienced parents, new parents, some teens will be present to give insight to the discussion. The best template we have is scripture which does not fail to address our struggles in raising the next generation. Using Christian truths, we will pull out all the stops to help parents do the most difficult job they will ever do. You only get to raise a child once! If you are not a parent but have the opportunity to influence younger ‘people’, we will also address the importance of the slogan ‘It takes a Village to raise a Child”. There will be no perfect parents present but there will be suggestions, encouragement and wisdom for all to gleam!
