Pastor Michelle Nickodemus began serving as pastor at St. John Lutheran Church in 2004. Among her many responsibilities as pastor, she particularly enjoys teaching, worship planning and leadership, and continuing to build relationships with members and friends of St. John. She is interested in the ELCA World Hunger Appeal, global mission, discipleship, and spiritual formation. Pastor Michelle earned a M.Div. from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg in 1998, a M.A. in Health Care Ethics from Duquesne University in 2004, and a B.S. in biochemistry from Grove City College in 1993. She is interested in the intersection of faith and science, especially in the area of bioethics, with a subfield interest in genetics.
Pastor Michelle shares her home with three cats: Max, Cleo, and Juliet. She enjoys the performing arts, traveling, baking, reading fiction, photography, gardening, sewing, knitting, crocheting, scrapbooking, making Christmas cards, beading, entertaining on her backyard deck (grilled chicken is her specialty), and keeping in touch with friends.
Prior to coming to Canal Fulton, Pastor Michelle served a congregation in western Pennsylvania.
