On Saturday, June 4, from 8 am to 1 pm, the Arlington County Chapter will celebrate Join Hands Day by holding a “Great American Bake Sale” at Faith Lutheran Church (3313 Arlington Blvd.) in conjunction with Faith’s mammoth Yard Sale. Join Hands Day is a national event that brings volunteers of all ages together to make a difference. “The Great American Bake Sale” is a program sponsored by PARADE magazine and Share Our Strength® to combat child hunger in America. All proceeds from our bake sale will go directly to Share Our Strength®. Donations of baked goods will be most appreciated at all four Arlington County Chapter congregations (Advent, Faith, Our Savior and Resurrection). Volunteers are needed to set-up, sell the baked goods, and clean-up. Contact your Congregational Coordinators, or Marianne Hetzer (703-823-3367 / mwhetzer@comcast.net) to volunteer or donate baked goods. WE ALSO NEED LOTS OF CUSTOMERS!
