IN MEMORY OF ALLAN JENSON

Allan Jenson, our Financial Director of nearly four years, passed away suddenly on Friday, August 19, 2005.  He really enjoyed his treasurer's role in helping the Arlington congregations accomplish their objectives in caring for people in our Arlington community.  Allan had been a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church for many years.  He was a tireless servant-leader who always found time to do one more thing for the Lord.  Whether as a choir member, Elder, Congregational Ambassador for the Lutheran Laymen's League/Lutheran Hour, or Thrivent Financial Chapter Financial Director, he served with enthusiasm and good humor.  He went out of his way to make visitors feel welcome.  His last Sunday in Church he spent time talking with a visitor (a fellow-Texan as it turned out), letting her know that she would have a church home at Our Savior.  Allan leaves two adult sons, David and Phillip.  He was buried in Quantico cemetery with military honors.
