Adams County Chapter of Thrivent will hold its annual election
Date/Time -- 3 p.m. Sunday, September 7th, 2008 (Note: That week, the Packers play the Monday night)
Place -- Adams County Community Center, behind County Market Foods in Adams
Highlights -- Pulled pork and beef dinner with many side dishes, prizes, entertainment by the Friendship Brass, and a 21 gun farewell salute to our outgoing President Anna Larsen.
All Thrivent members are encouraged to attend, and to bring a guest. If you know any Thrivent member who would consider serving either as President or as Congregation Coordinator, please call Anna Larsen at (608) 339-3396.

All elected chapter leadership positions are considered “open positions” each year, even though there may be some members who have not completed their four consecutive terms. All ten elected positions must be on the ballot for re-election.

If you are a benefit member (generally the insured or annuitant on an insurance or annuity contract issued by Thrivent Financial, or premerger AAL or LB), you are eligible to vote and will receive the mailing. The Adams County WI Chapter has 1,086 Thrivent Financial for Lutherans members who, along with Lutheran congregations in the area, join together for social, educational and volunteer activities. The Adams County WI Chapter is one of nearly 1,400 geographic groups of Thrivent Financial members making a difference for organizations, congregations and individuals in need within their communities.
As a fraternal benefit society, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans is a not-for-profit membership organization that works with and through its members to support their communities, congregations and individuals in need through volunteer activities and gifting programs. -- Helping Communities and Congregations --
Chapter Activities $66,120 -- From holding a community-wide auction to raise funds for a child with cancer, to building a handicap-accessible play area at a local park, our members make a difference every day through our chapter system. 50 Chapter activities were conducted by the Adams County WI Chapter, resulting in 16,804 volunteer hours. Funds raised by these local teams totaled $43,350, which were combined with $22,770 from Thrivent Financial to multiply the good we can do together.
