The Adams County WI Chapter has 1,059 Thrivent Financial for Lutherans members who, along with Lutheran congregations in the area, join together for social, educational and volunteer activities. The Adams County WI Chapter is one of nearly 1,400 geographic groups of Thrivent Financial members making a difference for organizations, congregations and individuals in need within their communities.
| A Caring Organization Like No Other |
Thrivent Financial for Lutherans is a faith-based, not-for-profit financial services organization nearly 2.6 million members strong. As a fraternal benefit society, Thrivent Financial works with and through its members to support their communities, congregations and individuals in need through volunteer activities and gifting programs.
| Chapter Activities over $46,300 |
From holding a community-wide auction to raise funds for a child with cancer, to building a handicap-accessible play area at a local park, our members make a difference every day through our chapter system. 31 activities were conducted by the Adams County WI Chapter, resulting in 11,364 volunteer hours. Funds raised by these local teams totaled $24,724, which were combined with $21,623 from Thrivent Financial to multiply the good we can do together.
| Giving Plus Program over $5,300,000 |
Through this program, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and its subsidiaries add $1 to every $2 members give to eligible Lutheran educational institutions or outreach ministry organizations. 425 Lutheran organizations received $5,335,085 in supplemental funds based on contributions from 23,152 Thrivent Financial for Lutherans members in our chapter and other chapters throughout Wisconsin.
| Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity over $2,500,000 |
Through our alliance with Habitat for Humanity, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans contributed $2,219,500 to support Thrivent Builds projects in Wisconsin. Our members raised an additional $311,859 and committed 53,730 volunteer hours to help build 33 homes in Wisconsin. Thrivent Financial supported its many members across the country who participated in a total of 96 Thrivent Builds Worldwide trips by providing $584,567 toward trip costs and $3,208,461 to help Habitat affiliates hosting the volunteers build additional homes.
| Other Impacts over $182,000 |
Thrivent Financial for Lutherans added to its impact in Wisconsin through grants awarded to Lutheran and community organizations and by supporting additional volunteer and outreach efforts.
Annual Meeting will be Sunday, September 13th at the Adams Community Center at 4:00 pm.
There will be free food and entertainment by the delightful Indonesian Boards and Bamboo group.
