In 2008 the Goodhue County Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans was able to fund 29 different activies through Care Abounds in Communities. A total of $24,060.00 was given in supplemental funding. These funds were used by people in Goodhue County to help pay for things like funeral expenses, cancer related expenses, and educational programs, just to name a few!
Youth and adults participated in JOin Hands Day and were given $1,000.00 to make care packages that were shipped overseas to our local service men and women.

There are Goodhe County Chapter funds available to be used in 2009 to help with fund raisers and other events. Encourage people and organizations to apply. Applications must be submitted the month before the events so they can be approved at the monthly meeting.
