Please join us once again for the annual All members "FREE" picnic on Thursday July 9th, serving from 6 - 7:30 pm. It will be held at the Goodhue Country Fairgrounds, Zumbrota. The Thrivent Financial Goodhue County Chapter/Board will be hosting this picnic. Come and enjoy some great food.
Thrivent Financial sponsored Rochester Honkers Baseball Game, Saturday, July 11th, at 7:05pm. See your Chapter board members for Free Tickets. Must bring a nonperishable food item for Channel One Food. Shelf along with tickets to the game for admission. We will also have a ticket booth at the Annual Picnic.
Twins fans big or small, young or old, here's another chance to cheer for you favorite Twins player. On Tuesday, August 26th, at 7:10 pm game time, a 55 passenger bus, from "Sugar Loaf Motor Coaches", which will be paid for from the Chapter, has charted to transport families and friends to watch our Minnesota Twins take on the Baltimore Orioles. Ticket cost is $21.00 per ticket, on a first come first pay basis. Concession coupons also available for $3.75. This has been a sell out in past years, so reserve your seat early. Paid tickets will hold your seat on the bus. Bus loads at 5:00 pm at Saint Paul Lutheran Church in Pine Island and then at 5:15 pm at the Covered Bridge Restaurant in Zumbrota. On Sunday, October 4, a 55 passenger bus, from "Sugar Loaf Motor Coach", which will be paid for by the chapter, has been chartered to transport families and friends to watch "Oklahoma" Musical Production. Your ticket price is $41.00 per ticket, on a first come first pay basis. This also has been a popular event so reserve you tickets early. Bus will load at 2:45 pm at Saint Paul Lutheran Church in Pine Island and then at 3:00 pm at the Covered Bridge Restaurant in Zumbrota. Requests for funding must be submitted before the monthly board meeting, held on the third Monday of the month. Projects should have 2 to 3 weeks time to be promoted. Medical requests may be funded up to $1200.00 and organizational requests up to $1000.00. If your event will be later in the year, apply early so the board is aware of your need for funds.
