In this edition we highlight upcoming and past events that the chapter will be and has supported with supplemental funds. Thrivent provided your chapter with $13,280 for 2007 to help those in our communities that need help. All of these funds have been allocated among approved projects.
| UPCOMING CARE ABOUNDS IN COMMUNITIES PROJECTS |
1 - Kings of Kings is having a bake sale to benefits MOPS. 2 - The Second Time Shop in Franklin will be raising money to provide Christmas gifts and clothing for needy children, selected by the Salvation Army.
3 – The Franklin Deardorff Senior Center, “Ding-A-Lings” will be putting on its annual musical comedy to raise money to help area Seniors, Saturday, November 3, 2007 at 7:00 P.M. Franklin High School, McDade Auditorium. "Yesterday" is the theme music and "You Are My Sunshine" will be the signature chorus song. Ticket cost is generally $5.00 per person.

At our Annual November 13, meeting at the Houston Inn we will be electing new officers for 2008. Some of our officers have reached term limitations and will not be able to serve again. Mark your calendar now for the Chapter annual meeting, including: recognition of Congregational Coordinators and Service Team Leaders, and election of the 2008 Leadership Board. The meeting will be held at the Houston Inn in Mason on St. Rt. 42, east of the US 741 intersection beginning at 6:00 PM. Thrivent Financial for Lutherans program called Care in Congregations® where funding is provided to Thrivent Financial members to conduct fund-raising and/or hands-on service activities to benefit your congregation or its related Lutheran institutions? If you see a need in your congregation that could be helped through this funding, please contact your Congregational Coordinator in your congregation. If you don't know who your three congregational coordinators are, please contact a member of our chapter leadership board as noted in this newsletter.
