| CHAPTER ANNUAL MEETING INVITATION |
Your Chapter’s annual meeting will be held Tuesday, November 11, 2007 at the 20 Mile House Restaurant 3159 Montgomery Rd. (Rts. 22 & 3) Loveland. The meeting will commence at 6:00 PM, with recognition of congregational coordinators, service team members, review of your Thrivent Financial for Lutherans chapter matching grants and election of your 2009 county Leadership Board followed by dinner and friendly conversation. Seating is limited so please RSVP by Friday November 7, 2007 to Kathy or Will Lapp Chapter Financial Director at WandKLapp@aol.com or 937-746-8171. Please include the names of all attending, phone number and address so we can contact you for confirmation of your attendance or if the event has to be canceled for some reason. If you will attend and have a Thrivent Financial for Lutherans shirt, please wear it to the meeting.

There are 10 board member slots, 5 of which are required to be filled for your chapter to be functional and 5 which are optional. Each board member is elected annually. A board member may only serve for four years consecutive years before the member has reached term limitations. We have several members that will have reached term limitations, therefore, we are in need of new faces. Should you be interested in volunteering a few hours each month as a member of the leadership board, have any questions or would like more detail on any of the positions please contact Will or Kathy Lapp at 937-746-8171 or WandKLapp@aol.com. To serve on the Leadership Board, it is perferred that you have access to e-mail and several positions require internet access.

Chapters of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans are organized geographically and bring together members to help others and help their community. Through the Care Abounds in Communities® program, Thrivent Financial provides funding to members like you who form community service teams to conduct fund-raising activities and/or hands-on service activities to help individuals, families and qualified not-for-profit organizations. Contact a member of our chapter leadership board as noted in this newsletter for assistance in getting started. In 2008 Thrivent Financial for Lutherans provided the Warren County OH Chapter $14,405 including Join Hands Day funds to help people and families in Warren County that have a need. Examples include: Franklin and Kings Food Pantries, Children’s Christmas (clothing for indigent children), American Cancer Society, Interfaith Hospitality Network, MOPS, Deardoff Senior Center, Franklin/Springboro Crop Walk for Hunger and Warren County Women’s Shelter.
| UP COMING CARE ABOUNDS IN COMMUNITIES PROJECTS |
The Franklin Deardorff Senior Center, “Ding-A-Lings” will be putting on its annual musical comedy to raise money to help area Seniors, Saturday, November 1, 2008 at 7:00 P.M. Franklin High School, McDade Auditorium. "Themes of the Past” is the program this year. Ticket cost is $5.00 per person. To make reservations call the center at 937-743-8100.
