The Annual Election of Chapter leaders and Dinner will be held on Thursday night, November 8th, in Our Redeemer Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall at 1215 Apple Ave in Muskegon, MI. 6:00 PM Appetizers 6:30 PM Dinner served 7:30 PM Entertainment and election of new Chapter Leadership Board
The Thrivent West Central Michigan chapter board appreciates the work and time spent helping and serving others. The board has approved an expenditure of up to $ 20 for each church to sponsor altar flowers for a Sunday. The board suggests that a bulletin note be included, for example, "Flowers today are given in thanks to God for our Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Congregational Coordinators (names) and for all of the volunteers who have helped with various projects in our church and community." The flowers are donated by the West Central Michigan Chapter Board of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. Send receipts to Frank Holister, 8779 Ferry, Montague, 49437 before Nov. 15th in order to receive reimbursement.
The regular meeting of the West Central Chapter Board is held at 12:30 on the fourth Tuesday of each month. It includes a luncheon. You are invited to join the board at the Oct. 23rd meeting at the Old Country Buffet on Sherman near US 31. Your input, suggestions and involvement are always appreciated.
Your chapter has funds available for your church to sponsor a coffee and donuts social. This is meant to give Thrivent members a chance to gather and discuss possible projects needing involvement and funding. If you want to take advantage of this opportunity, complete the request form and submit it to Frank Hollister, 8779 Ferry, Montague, 49437 before the next meeting on Oct. 23rd.
The West Central Michigan Chapter is hosting an area FOOD TRUCK at Samuel Lutheran Church parking lot on Saturday, October 13th. The truck will be used to distribute food to the poor and those in need. Volunteers are needed to join chapter leaders for a couple hours. Plan to be a part of this outreach project to the community.
