THRIVENT CHOICE VOTING
NEWS FOR NORTH OREGON COAST THRIVENT MEMBERS


Thrivent will donate $1 million dollars during the Choice Choice Voting Event. Members, 16 years and older, will vote from 10 nationwide charities. The Voting Event may be done on line at Thrivent.com/choicevote or by mailing in the business reply card, that can be found in the Spring issue of Thrivent Magazine. Voting may be done between April 19th and May 21st.




THRIVENT CHOICE DOLLARS
Early Summer : Choice Dollars Launching
This will give eligilbe benefit members a voice in choosing how the Choice Dollars are designated. Beginning this summer about 30% of benefit members will be eligible to direct Choice Dollars to thousands of Lutheran nonprofit organizations including Lutheran congregations.  Eligibility to direct Choice Dollars is based on a benefit member’s involvement in Thrivent Financial - via their level of fraternal benefit society product ownership and volunteer leadership.







OTHER HIGHLIGHTS
Other highlights:
1. Congregational Coordinators position have been eliminated. There is a new position available for members to represent their church, Congregational Advocates.  (Each church can have up to four.)  
One will act as the lead Advocate, must have email capability.
2. One of our officers (vice-president) has resigned. This position needs to be filled immediately in order to receive chapter operating funding.
