JOSH TRAXEL, YOUTH DIRECTOR AND WEBMASTER: This year as Youth Director I represented the youth on the chapter board when making decisions regarding funding for various projects. I also encouraged several local youth groups to apply for funding. Several of these groups did and received the funding. This year as Webmaster I created the Mid King County Chapter Web Site: http://www.lutheransonline.com/midkingcountychapter). I continue to update it with chapter newsletters and a schedule of meetings. I hope to be more active in the youth programs at all the congregations within our chapter, encouraging them to participate in the volunteer service work that Thrivent Financial does. I hope to add a section to the web site overveiwing where our money has been given, perhaps including photos and reports from projects. I'm a senior at Kentwood High School and my favorite charity is Lutheran Ministry Services NW. Soli Deo Gloria, Josh Traxel, josharou@myrealbox.com 253-631-7417 TAMERA HOUSMAN, FINANCIAL DIRECTOR: In addition to my time at King of Kings as Finance Committee Chair, my volunteer efforts are spent working with Valley Camp Ministries as Treasurer, Mid King County Chapter as Financial Director, and Venture Crew (a co-ed Boy Scout organization) as Program Advisor. I am looking forward to helping many Thrivent Service Teams accomplish their projects in the community through the Care Abounds in Communities™ and Care in Regions programs. Tamera Hausman, tjhausman@comcast.net, 253-630-1496. DIANE GREEN, EVENTS COORDINATOR: My most successful activity was to coordinate our Thanksgiving Baskets. This year we were given 10 families from the Des Moines food bank and 3 families from our local congregation. Our youth decorated the baskets, plus helped with the shopping, packing, and deliveries. We delivered the baskets Sunday afternoon and were warmly greeted and our baskets were enthusiastically received. I am looking forward to planning an activity for the Mid King County Chapter in 2005.
