| Many thanks to Mae Tacke, 2005 President, and Terry Dallas, 2005 Assistant Financial Director |
Thank you Mae Tacke and Terry Dallas for supporting the development of the new Thrivent for Lutherans chapter systems, and training and encouraging the leadership board of directors and the membership. Because leadership term positions are limited these two leaders spent quality time building this chapter to its current strength. (Leadership terms usually consist of either a three-year term with a one year interim, or a four-year term and a two-year interim.) MAE TACKE TO CONTINUE SUPPORTING MKCC IN DIFFERENT CAPACITY...VRA
Mae used her extensive experience and education in business and education to help launch the 39 chapters of Region 526 of Thrivent Financial get started. In addition to her MKCC president duties, she has been involved with writing major grant proposals to Thrivent. Mae states she feels privileged to work with the Lutheran Community Service Specialists to learn the processes and procedures that can be passed on to chapter leaders and congregational coordinators through the Volunteer Resources Advisor (VRA) position. In 2006, Mae will serve as the VRA for the Mid King County Chapter and one or two other chapters. She'll attend chapter meetings when possible, and be available to help with training sessions, and to answer questions and give guidance. You can contact Mae Tacke at (253) 839-3405, email maetacke@comcast.net

PRESIDENT, TAMMY HAUSMAN: Tammy moves into this position from a two-year term as Financial Director. Tammy made great strides with the Financials of MKCC, getting online banking in place, implementing Thrivent's spreadsheet program for more understandable reports, among many other duties. Tammy brings a passion for helping others to the table, and energetically and responsibly looks for ways to help and build areas of her community through the MKCC Thrivent for Lutherans programs. She belongs to King of Kings Lutheran Church in Renton. VICE PRESIDENT, LORAL PRITCHETT: In Loral's second full year in this position, she wishes to improve the elections process and support the nominating committee. In addition to producing the publications and legislative efforts, she's looking forward to supporting and working with an appointed Publications Coordinator and the elected Events Coordinator to make Thrivent MKCC a memorable and valuable resource for congregations and the community. She's been involved with AAL since birth. Loral is married to a Boeing Systems Analyst and works as a Technical Writer/Senior for a major medical systems software development company.
