The Annual Mid King County Chapter Congregational Coordinator Information Update will be held on Saturday, March 3rd at 10:00. ***Please note the date change.*** We will begin the morning at 10:00 with a fraternal specialist sharing new procedures and requirements for the Care in Congregations® program, and helping any new coordinators understand their role and responsibilities. A Luncheon will begin at 11:30 for all participants. Gifts and door prizes for you and your congregation will be presented. All 3 Congregational Coordinators form each church in the Mid King County Chapter are encouraged to attend. Bring along anyone from your congregation that might be interested in learning more about being a coordinator, especially if your congregation doesn't have the 3 coordinators required to apply for Care in Congregations funding. How can you participate in 2007? It's easy. Find a need, form a service team of individuals from six separate Thrivent Financial households, and contact one of our chapter leaders to see how we can help you. We have many resources to help make your activity great, including: - A checklist that includes everything you need to know to conduct a successful activity and receive funding from the chapter. - Promotional items to help you recruit volunteers and publicize your activity for optimum attendance. - Funding to purchase T-shirts, refreshments, supplies and more. While we prefer chapter service teams to conduct JOIN HANDS DAY activities on May 5, you may plan your activity for anytime between April 1 and June 30. However, only activities held on May 5 will be considered for national recognition by JOIN HANDS DAY. You’ll find that the rewards of participating far outweigh the time and effort involved in planning an activity. And your chapter leadership board is here to help you along the way. Make sure to register at Thrivent.com so you are able to access all the information and helps available to you as a Congregational Coordinator. Enter Thrivent.com and click the Members/Chapters tab, then choose “For Congregational Coordinators.” At this page you will be able to access tools and news topics related to your position. Click the Congregational Coordinator Administration Menu and you will be prompted for a User ID and Password. Complete the registration process and you will have access to details about your chapter. This is also the place to complete activity tasks and order supplies. Take time to visit CHIP.
