| Chapter Leader Election Invitation | | Lewis-Mason-Thurston County Chapter | | |
Dear Thrivent Member The Lewis-Mason-Thurston County Thrivent Chapter is looking for board members interested in helping others. Your leadership skills and community knowledge would be a great asset to our work. Not familiar with Thrivent Financial local county chapter? The Lewis-Mason-Thurston County Thrivent Chapter needs a minimum of five active chapter leaders who manage chapter funds($29,400 in 2011) through our Care Abounds in Communities activities. Simply put, we give money to others who help the needy in our communities. Recent recipients for some of our money have been the county food banks, backpacks for homeless, seminary students, after school tutoring programs, community garden projects plus many others. On average our volunteer elected board members spend 5-10 hours each month, including a monthly provided dinner meeting. In addition, the chapter holds educational and social events to support and grow Thrivent members. The following five positions are needed to keep these funds available for our communities; each is a one year term starting in January 2012: President – provides leadership to chapter and board - 10 hours monthly Vice President – conducts elections, backup to the President – 6 to10 hours monthly
Records Director – maintains all records (secretary) – 4 to 6 hours monthly
