NOMINATIONS FOR ELECTIONS Dear Members of the South AK Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans: The South AK Chapter is in need of board members. Do you like the feeling of knowing you are making a difference in someone's life? Has Thrivent made a difference in your life or has someone you know been helped by Thrivent? Do you want to be a part of the positive changes you see Thrivent making? Are you passionate about helping others and your community? Or do you know someone who fits this description? If yes, our Thrivent chapter leadership board is looking for nominees. You can help our members help others by providing funding and support for chapter activities. Currently we have no nominees for Financial Director, Assistant Financial Director and Director of Congregational Advocates. Nominations for the following positions are being accepted: PRESIDENT - Provides leadership to the board, oversees planning, and conducts chapter meetings VICE PRESIDENT - Provides leadership in the absence of the president and leads the nomination process. RECORDS DIRECTOR - Processes correspondence, maintains meeting minutes, and submits nonfinancial reports to Thrivent FINANCIAL DIRECTOR - Oversees the financial activities of the chapter ASSISTANT FINANCIAL DIRECTOR - Assists the financial director DIRECTOR OF CONGREGATIONAL ADVOCATES - Helps identify charitable, educational, and social solutions to meet the needs of the congregation and provides training and support to chapter advocates COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR - Supports the board in communication with congregations and communities and helps promote their activities COMMUNITY SERVICE TEAM DIRECTOR - Supports and initiates activities to qualify for funding through Care Abounds in Communities program YOUTH DIRECTOR - Looks for opportunities to involve youth in chapter and service team activities
